Continuing their exciting residency at The Civic and Dublin Dance Festival, the Liz Roche company return to develop a timely revival of their acclaimed production of WRoNGHEADED.
The production merges film, voice and movement to confront the stark realities of women’s rights and freedom of choice in Ireland today.
Having premiered at the 2016 Dublin Fringe Festival, this extended version showcases powerful dance performances propelled by the fiercely spoken words of Galway poet Elaine Feeney, interwoven with the exquisite work of Mary Wycherley (filmmaker), Ray Harman (composer) and Stephen Dodd (lighting designer).
As part of the residency, Liz and her outstanding ensemble of dancers and collaborators have once again been working with our Active Audience programme. A specially tailored and unique to Tallaght series of engagements have been created, which will culminate in a dynamic installation ‘WRoNGHEADED responses’, involving local audience creative responses to the source subject matter behind the creation of the piece.
