  • Michael Barker-Caven

    Artistic Director

    I’m lucky enough to lead this great team. My job is to choose the shows that bring you through our front door, whilst also dreaming up new schemes and initiatives that will make your Civic theatre the place to be for the best in live entertainment and performance art. Then I go home to my kids!

  • Niamh Ferry

    General Manager

    I’m responsible for the financial & administrative management of the Civic. I fell in love with the arts when I was 13 and helped make the set for my school play. I’ve a Degree in Heritage Studies and an MA in Arts Management & Cultural Policy.

  • Sandra Doyle

    Box Office Manager

    I’ve worked for the Civic for the past 16 years as Box Office & Front of House Manager. I love the meet & greet aspect of the role, chatting to patrons on the phone and have met some lovely people over the years. No two days are the same.

    Box Office Assistant

    I’ve worked in the Box Office in the Civic Theatre since 2004; I love my job! Every day is different! Meeting new cast and crew every week & the wide variety of customers coming through the doors keeps me interested in my work.

    Audience Development & Marketing Manager

    I’m a Tallaght native & very proud to work in my community where my job is to attract audiences to our wide and varied programme. I hold an MBS in Marketing from UCD Smurfit Graduate School & previously worked for many years in the food marketing business!

  • Barbara Dignam

    Box Office / Front of House

    I work on box office and front of house at the Civic. I’m a producer of beautiful children, and also enjoy a spot of baking & cake decorating. When not in the civic working, I’m here socialising! Love the place!

  • Hannah Mullan

    Associate Producer for Children and Early Years

    Over the past twenty years Hannah has worked in a variety of producing and curatorial roles. Currently she works as a freelance Creative Producer with clients such as The Civic Theatre, Dublin and the Arts Council of Northern Ireland. She was Creative Producer for the award winning ANU Productions and WilllFredd Theatre before leaving to work for VISUAL, Carlow and The Courthouse, Tinahealy.

  • Veronica Coburn

    Programme Director of TENDERFOOT

    Veronica Coburn is Programme Director of TENDERFOOT, The Civic Theatre’s apprentice theatre programme for transition year students in South County Dublin. Tenderfoot seeks to develop young theatrical voices in South Dublin County.

  • Sinead Purcell

    Production Manager of Ready, Steady, SHOW!

    Sinéad Purcell is a Dublin based Production Manager, Stage Manager, and Set Designer. In 2015 she graduated from the National College of Art and Design with a BA(Hons) in Fine Art, Sculpture. Upon graduating she was awarded a Certificate of High Commendation from the Undergraduate Awards in the category of Visual Arts and Design. Since graduating, Sinéad has been working as a freelance theatre maker, transferring her knowledge of fine art to the stage.

  • Sophie Coote

    Line Producer & Schools Liaison for Ready, Steady, SHOW!

    Sophie is a freelance producer who works across theatre, dance and theatre for young audiences. Her work with The Civic Theatre includes line producing Freshly Ground Theatre's This is a Blank Page in Autumn 2021 and Candlelit Tales' Cruthú in Spring 2022. Sophie is currently the line producer and schools liaison for Ready Steady SHOW! at The Civic Theatre.
