Ready, Steady, Show! 2022

Ready, Steady, SHOW! was back in 2022, with a number of exciting and innovative projects aimed at young audiences and giving artists the freedom to think outside the box.

In January 2022, Candlelit Tales brought the Myth Makers with Ready, Steady SHOW! project to Tallaght Community National School. In collaboration with Miss Hickey and the incredible students they teamed up with illustrator and animator Beibhinn McCarthy. The group created the fantastical and mythically awesome The Yolk Dragon! MYTH MAKERS – THE YOLK DRAGON

CRUTHÚ 2022

Cruthú was created by the brilliant team at Candlelit tales and developed with the support of the Ready Steady, SHOW! The Civic’s ongoing programme of work for children and young people.

Cruthú is a live-action, world-building, role-playing, collaborative storytelling game where the players build the world that they want to. Unlike most stories, the pages in this book are empty, the story still to be written. 

In March of 2022, the team enlisted Anne Cradden and Orla Kelly to help create a new world that they could bring with them as they travelled to participating schools across South County Dublin.
