The Civic will present The Breadwinner at 4pm and 8pm on Culture Night in the Studio Theatre. Based on the best-selling novel by Deborah Ellis, the film was an international co-production between Canada, Ireland, and Luxembourg, and received a limited release on 17 November 2017.
The film had its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival in September.
The Breadwinner received a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 90th Academy Awards.
