Suantrai

Suantraí
A work-in-progress performance of lullabies for preschool children ages 4 and under
by Eithne Ní Chatháin (Inni-K) with Joanna Williams, Little Bigtop

In this magical and soothing performance of lullabies, Eithne Ní Chatháin (Inni-K) celebrates our first brush with song.  Young imaginations will be enthralled by some of our best-loved bedtime songs such as Bog Braon don tSeanduine, as well as lullabies from other cultures and traditions.  A musical feast for all the senses, Suantraí also features joyful sensory play led by Joanna Williams.

Eithne Ní Chatháin is a singer, multi-instrumentalist, and songwriter who has received consistent praise for her distinct, fresh style of indie-folk under her Inni-K alias.  She is also known for her mesmerising sean-nós singing.

Joanna Williams, Artistic Director of Little Bigtop, is a visual theatre artist and performer creating original work for early years audiences.

Suantraí will be presented during our Ready, Steady, Show! mini-fest.  Following on from last year’s hugely popular showcase, this year we have a line-up of new artists who will take up the challenge of devising a concept for a new piece of work for children between the ages of 0-6 and presenting their work in progress idea all on two special days!

Suantraí has been commissioned by Tradoodle Festival 2018 in partnership with Mountains to Sea dlr Book Festival, and is produced by Ceol Connected.  Tradoodle Festival is County Monaghan’s traditional arts festival for young audiences.  Kindly supported by Civic Theatre.
