Louise Morrissey has long been regarded by both folk and country music enthusiasts as one of our vocal treasures. Multi award winner Louise is highly regarded both nationally and internationally as one of Ireland’s greatest interpreters of song, this combined with her unique guitar style makes for a magical experience.
This special concert sees Louise return to the theatre stage for this intimate trip back to her folk days when she performed with her brothers as part of the highly acclaimed folk group The Morrisseys. From the mid 70’s through to the late 80’s The Morrisseys enjoyed national and international success.
Louise will take you on a nostalgic journey from those early days with The Morrisseys right up to the present day, singing songs from her vast repertoire. Louise has invited her brother Norman to join her on bass and vocals for these special concerts and together they will share with their audience many memories, stories and songs including her chart topping ‘The Old Rustic Bridge By The Mill’, her touching tribute to Percy French with the classic ‘Come Back Paddy Reilly To Ballyjamesduff’ and many more favourites, making for a most enjoyable evening.
