A showcase of young people’s imagination and creative potential –Red Line Book Festival brings together three rising Irish female poets in discussion about anchoring intimate and visceral experiences of motherhood in their poetry collections.
Poet, editor and reviewer Aoife Lyall’s first collection, Mother, Nature, was published by Bloodaxe Books in 2021 and her second is being supported by the National Lottery through Creative Scotland.
Victoria Kennefick is a poet, writer and teacher whose first collection, Eat or We Both Starve, was published by Carcanet Press in March 2021. Her pamphlet, White Whale
(Southword Editions, 2015), won the Munster Literature Centre Fool for Poetry Chapbook
Competition and the Saboteur Award for Best Poetry Pamphlet.
Jessica Traynor is a poet, essayist and librettist. Her debut collection, Liffey Swim (Dedalus Press, 2014), was shortlisted for the Strong/Shine Award and A Place of Pointed Stones, a pamphlet commissioned by Offaly County Council, was published by The Salvage Press in 2021.
