Hear My Hands

‘Hear my hands’ is a multi-disciplinary collaborative performance piece, fusing dance and audio video projection. The work explores the use of sign language and the use of movement as a form of communication. Delving into the frustration and difficulties involved with miscommunication in relationships. Presented by Karen Gleeson and The Civic in association with Project Arts Centre.
This work was created with the support of the Arts Council Dance Project Award 2021, Arts Council Dance Bursary Award 2017 and the Wicklow County Councils Artist Support Grant 2017. Special thanks to the Civic Theatre, Project Arts Centre, Mermaid Arts Centre and Central Remedial Clinic with additional support from Dance Ireland, Annie Ryan and Corn Exchange, John Scott Company, Irish Deaf Society, Carmel Robinson, Frank Gleeson, David Kavanagh, Anna Newell.
