A Conversation on Disability and Access
As a Citizen of Ireland, a disabled person and a vital member of your community what do the arts represent to you?
Most of us delight in theatre, music, dance, literature and visual arts / film – both as audiences and consumers of culture – but also equally, whenever possible as creative beings in ourselves.
The Civic Tallaght would like to improve and expand access to the varied activities and programming of the theatre. So, Peter Kearns and Niall O Baoill – two experienced theatre / arts practitioners and disability activists – have been invited to stimulate and facilitate a public engagement, during which the lived experience of disabled people in South Dublin County will be explored in an open and purposeful manner.
All those interested in contributing, learning more and ideally linking more directly with The Civic are encouraged to reserve a place. Advance booking is essential and Irish Sign Language (ISL) Interpretation will be provided.
People participating in this event will be welcome attend the Sightless Cinema performance afterwards.
