The Breadwinner

The Breadwinner - The Civic - Culture Night

Based on the best-selling novel by Deborah Ellis, the film was an international co-production between Canada, Ireland, and Luxembourg, and received a limited release on 17 November 2017. The film had its world premiere at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival in September. The Breadwinner received a nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 90th Academy Awards.

The warrior’s code is uncompromising, forging boys into killing machines. When two great warriors come together and conceive a child, they are both determined that he will carry on their legacy. And finish the fight they started. This month, we will tell you the tale of a boy caught up in a struggle not of his own making, and the terrible geasa he is given by his father, Cuchulainn.

Tallaght Cancer Support Group - The Civic - Culture Night 2018
The Maria Lane Choir from Tallaght Cancer Support Group will perform lots of great, feel good hits! The choir was founded in February 2007. The support centre is a place where many people touched by cancer and their family and friends are finding support in a caring, confidential and welcoming environment.
