Ready, Steady SHOW! (RSS!) is delighted to announce we are open for applications for our DIGITAL award.  This is the third year of our DIGITAL commissions and really sums up the spirit of the RSS! Development space.

This an R&D award to test and play with ideas around how new technology can support interesting art experiences for our young audiences. You dont need to be a coder or a tech expert, you just need to be curious and have a big idea you want to explore which engages in a DIGITAL or hybrid outcome!

Full details and brief HERE

We create a safe space for brave new ideas to be explored. Its an iterative process, which means we encourage a phased approach to working. So you might come in for a few days of mentorship and play in the rehearsal space and then take that learning away and let it sit for a while before coming back in with the next round of development.

The commissioning programme also invites you to take part in the RSS! Artist Development Programme. This means you will have access to 1-2-1’s with the RSS! Creative Producer, allotted sessions with VR and AR expert Camille Donegan, artist Shane Sutton and support from the RSS! Production Manager. It also means you will be invited to take part in the ADP workshops including The Hackathon in June (14/15th), The Great Brain Explosion and  our new EDI Training Day. We will also take part in a series of LIVE and DIGITAL ‘GO SEE’ opportunities which will include a trip to Baboro this October.

If you are excited by the idea of creating new, innovative art experiences for children and young people and keen to explore how digital and technology can create amazing new storytelling opportunities, then this is the commission for you!
