Opportunities for Artists and Creatives

The Creative Ireland South Dublin Awards 2017 support community engagement, participation, and creative development across arts, culture and heritage in South Dublin County.

These awards will be delivered using the Creative Ireland funds allocated to South Dublin County Council under Pillar Two of the Creative Ireland Programme for 2017 – Enabling Creativity in Every Community.

Creative Ireland is the Government’s Legacy Programme for Ireland 2016 – a five-year initiative, from 2017 to 2022, which places creativity at the centre of public policy

  1. Artist & Creatives
    Collaborative Practice Award

This 2017 initiative seeks to support an artist or creative in any discipline in their collaborative practice. The successful proposal will have both a professional development element and a community element to it. It will engage with one of the cultural venues or organisations in the county and may have access to mentoring opportunities by these venues and organisations. The amount of the award is €15,000.

  1. Emerging Artists and Creatives
    Group/Collective Incubation Award

The intention of this award is to support collectives/groups of emerging young artists and creatives in any discipline, to develop their practice and to promote their presence as a creative and distinctive voice in the County. The amount of the award is €5000.

All Projects must be initiated in 2017 and completed before March 31st 2018.
