This Saturday, the critically-acclaimed Wide Open Opera production of Rossini’s The Barber of Seville will be on RTÉ lyric fm.

Tara Erraught sings the role of the beautiful Rosina, rising US tenor Tyler Nelson makes his Irish debut as the romantic Count Almaviva, while star Irish baritone Gavan Ring sings the titular Figaro the barber. Also starring Irish tenor John Molloy as Basilio and Mary O’Sullivan as Berta, the Chorus of Wide Open Opera and Orchestra of Wexford Festival Opera are conducted by Fergus Sheil, in a production the Irish Times called ‘A night to remember.’

This production was directed by The Civic Artistic Director, Michael Barker-Caven.
