THE WORKSHOP
After watching WRAPPED (in the days or week following the show) your group will be guided through a confidence building workshop that will develop their public speaking and debating skills as the choices made by the girls in the play are discussed and argued. Using a mixture of drama and vocal exercises the group will be divided into FOR and AGAINST teams who will debate one of the themes under a suggested topic by the facilitators. The workshop will last 1hr 30mins and will take place in your groups usual meeting venue. The workshop deals with the topics of the play but also helps participants deal with public speaking nerves, the rules of debating and active listening and presentation skills. Again, we’d like to remind you that WRAPPED’s themes are of an adult nature and include drugs, pregnancy choices, emigration, grief and sexuality. We recommend that groups be aged 16 and over.
