A hilarious parody of Samuel Beckett’s Waiting for Godot where two unfortunate airline passengers wait at the air gate for a no-frills flight which never arrives.
Whether you love low fares travel, or loath flying cattle class, if you’ve ever wasted a day of your life snaking around the airport carpark with 10,000 other people, because there were no airport staff to x-ray your jocks, or been blackmailed into paying excess baggage fees at the gate because one of the wheels of your bag slightly protruded from the baggage sizer, or spent a romantic break stranded in a tiny airfield in the middle of nowhere because the airline lied to you and told you it was a capital city, then this is the comedy for you.
Germans will crawl bollock naked over broken glass to see this performance, so get your tickets now before they hang a beach towel over every seat in Tallaght. Tickets can be booked at civictheatre.ie and include priority boarding, a small handbag and if you’re lucky a seat in the same row as the people you’re travelling with.
“Hits all the right notes between outlining sneaky air travel practices and enduring an eternal existential crisis.”
Irish Times (Newspaper)
“Some plays are a journey, some a rollercoaster. But this was like being hit by two avalanches. Absolutely cracked me up, the best live comedy show out there.” Brent Pope (TV pundit & mental health advocate)
“It’s a quart crammed into a shot glass. Absolutely fantastic. Hilarious from start to finish.”
Joe Taylor (Fr. Ted, The Tribunals)
“This is going to absolutely fly. Beckett would have loved it.” Peter Sheridan (Screenwriter & Director)
