Brian is a Dublin born and based actor who has recently finished The UK and Ireland tour of Disney’s The Lion King playing the role of the infamous villain, Scar most notably at The Bord Gais Theatre, Dublin 2023. He has also appeared on Britain’s Got Talent and made it to the semi-finals in 2019. Join him for an intimate evening of songs from Musicals – West End, Broadway and beyond! – at The Civic.
He initially began his training at First Active Children’s Theatre under his late mother Maureen Gilligan, furthering his studies at St. Patrick’s College DCU and later finishing at The Royal Irish Academy of Music under the tutelage of Mary Brennan. Brian has had an extensive career in both The West End and Ireland working with acclaimed directors such as Claire Tighe, Anthony Lyn, Jamie Lloyd, Graham McLaren and Ian Hughes. He also worked with esteemed actors such as Kit Harrington from HBO’s Game Of Thrones, covering him in the title role of Marlowe’s Doctor Faustus.
