Join children’s authors Judi Curtin and Sarah Webb for a special event where they share their passion for history and will bring the past alive. There may be old stuff and costumes involved! Lily’s Dream by Judi Curtin is set in 1914. Will the war in Europe change Lily’s life as a housemaid at Lissadell? Can her friendship with rich girl Maeve survive?

The Little Bee Charmer of Henrietta Street by Sarah Webb and illustrated by Rachel Corcoran is set in 1911. It’s the story of brother and sister, Eliza and Jonty who move from leafy Rathmines to a tenement flat on Henrietta Street in Dublin’s city centre. Will they ever feel at home in their new flat? Will they find new friends?

Children will get a chance to ask Judi and Sarah questions about their books and about writing and getting published.

Judi Curtin has written thirty-one books for adults and children, many of which have been bestsellers. She is best known for the Alice and Megan, Eva and the Molly and Beth series. In 2019 she wrote her first historical novel for children, Lily at Lissadell.

Sarah Webb is an award-winning children’s writer. Her books include Blazing a Trail: Irish Women who Changed the World (illustrated by Lauren O’Neill) and A Sailor Went to Sea, Sea, Sea: Favourite Rhymes from an Irish Childhood (illustrated by Steve McCarthy), both winners of Irish Book Awards.
