Singalong Songbook
Celebrates
Tom Jones
(Please Note: This NOT a Tribute Act)
With over 100 million record sales – 36 top 50 hits in the UK and 19 in the US – proud Welshman, mentor (The Voice UK), heart-throb and performer, Sir Tom Jones has been at the forefront of music since he exploded onto the scene in the 1960s.
Once described by the New York Times as a “musical shapeshifter [who could] slide from soulful rasp to pop croon, with a voice as husky as it was pretty”, what sets him apart is his sensational stage presence and vocal prowess, encompassing everything from pop, R&B, show tunes, country, dance to soul and gospel.
Join the brilliant Singalong Songbook team as they tell his life story and sing some of his most iconic hits, including: ‘It’s Not Unusual’, ‘What’s New Pussycat?’, ‘Delilah’, ‘She’s a Lady’, ‘Sex Bomb’ and ‘The Green, Green Grass of Home’.
We are delighted to welcome the hugely versatile and brilliantly talented Michael Grennell as our first ‘Guest’ Narrator for this show. Michael Grennell hails from a Dublin acting dynasty and has graced all of the great Dublin stages. He was a stalwart on RTÉ Radio for many years (RTÉ Players) and for the past decade or more has concentrated much of his theatrical endeavours in Cork.
