Dance: On Screen
A series of workshops to engage local people with dance through cinema. Dance: On Screen was developed initially at Axis and a similar workshop model will take place at The Civic Theatre. These workshops are targeted to women, for up to 20 participants.
Participants have the opportunity to watch films, curated by Honey & Lemon, followed by a dance workshop which explores the themes and choreography of the film as well as giving an insight into Honey & Lemon’s creative practice.
Each half-day workshop includes a tea/coffee break and open discussion time. This initial Dance on Screen session is based on an open-call for interested parties who may then wish to book a session for their group in the Autumn.
