Presented as Part of Red Line Book Festival 2023
It’s the end of an Era! Authors Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen and broadcaster Muireann O’Connell discuss the fifth and final book in the phenomenal bestselling Aisling series.
Join us from 7pm for a drinks reception, and some surprises, followed by the main event at 8pm.
Aisling is almost 32, and she’s still a complete Aisling.
Christmas lights are twinkling in The Big Apple and Aisling is stunned to find her ex-boyfriend John on her doorstep. Can his new-found devotion (and his new six-pack!) lure her back home or should she continue to chase the American dream with the Irish mafia and Jeff, the ridey fireman?
Meanwhile, in Ballygobbard, it’s all go. Baby showers are the new hen parties, Mammy and Dr Trevor are more serious than Aisling thought and the prospect of two evil step-sisters has her doubting her place in the family. With everything changing, will Aisling find her happy ever after?
Emer McLysaght and Sarah Breen are co-authors of the Aisling series. Oh My God, What a Complete Aisling was the best-selling fiction title of 2017 and its sequel, The Importance of Being Aisling, won the award for best popular fiction book at the 2018 Irish Book Awards. The third book in the series, Once, Twice, Three Times an Aisling, won the same award the following year and the fourth book in the series, Aisling and City, won again in 2021. The final book in the five-part Aisling series is due to be published in Autumn 2023. Combined, the Aisling books have sold over 400,000 copies to date.
Emer McLysaght has worked extensively in journalism and radio and is a columnist at The Irish Times. She knows the N7 like the back of her hand and lives in Dublin 8.
Sarah Breen’s background is in print journalism, specifically magazines. She lives in Dublin 7 and dreams of the day Oasis will reunite.
Muireann O’Connell is a TV presenter and broadcaster; she currently co-hosts Virgin Media One ratings hit, Ireland AM. The Limerick native has amassed a significant fanbase and online following thanks to her wit, candour, and relaxed onscreen presence.
Muireann has also presented The Great Big Irish Thank You, a special celebration of the people helping Ireland to get through the Covid-19 Pandemic. She co-hosted The Line Out with Greg O’Shea, a rugby-centric entertainment-led show that aired alongside Six Nations coverage, and appeared on Thank You, Next, a topical panel show, also for Virgin Media.
