FREE WORKSHOP on 25th June 4 -5:30pm
As Part of ‘The Weight of Shadow’ event, which takes place on 26th Jun, 1pm
This dynamic movement workshop invites performance students and actors to explore the body as a powerful tool for storytelling. Drawing from techniques rooted in Lecoq, mime, dance, and acrobatics, participants will deepen their physical awareness and learn to communicate narrative, emotion, and character through movement alone.
Through guided exploration and ensemble work, the workshop emphasises the development of a personal physical language—one that transcends text and taps into the visceral, universal elements of performance. Whether you’re looking to enhance your stage presence, physical expression, or devise original work, this workshop offers a space to unlock the body’s innate ability to speak, describe, and transform stories in motion.
Key Focus Areas:
-Physical storytelling and non-verbal communication
-Expressive movement and ensemble dynamics
-Mime and Lecoq-based performance technique
-Integration of dance and acrobatic principles
-Developing a personal physical vocabulary
