But what was it that woke me? That tap tap on the window, that sliver of sun on the wall, my cold foot? Or did my dream wake me? … Branar tours a magical, music-filled show that journeys through one child’s day, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary. Story of a Day/Scéal Lae combines live theatre performance, live music, and animation. A delightful blend of storytelling, written by renowned children’s author Mary Murphy and performed live on stage by actor Eoin O’Dubhghaill. Words on stage are brought to life through vivid animations that are projected on the stage throughout. Accompanied by an original score by award winning composer Tom Lane and performed live on stage by a Piano Quintet (featuring viola, cello, violins, and piano).
The show is accompanied by a creative engagement pack for classroom use.
