Black History Month at The Civic

This October, at the Civic Theatre, Tallaght, we invite you to a powerful and multi-disciplinary programme marking Black History Month with the theme “Whose Story?” — a question that invites reflection on ownership, voice, and representation in history and storytelling. Through visual art, theatre, comedy, film, music, and discussion, the programme celebrates the richness and complexity of Black Irish identity.

Showcasing the work of contemporary Black artists based in Ireland, we are celebrating Black identity in Ireland today with events that spotlight Black and Irish creatives across multiple disciplines and artforms. Curated by Civic Theatre Associate Artist, Esosa Ighodaro, the programme runs until October 26th.

Kindly Supported by South Dublin County Council
