Belle: Ríona Keogh
Ríona is from Rathfarnham, Dublin and is so delighted to be playing Belle in the Civic Panto this year! Ríona holds a BA (Hons) Degree in Music & English and a MSc (Hons) from UCD and trained in Classical Voice at the T.U Conservatoire of Music & Drama. Whilst studying at UCD, she was an active member of UCD Musical Society, playing Hope Cladwell in ‘Urinetown’, Vocally Directing ‘Gypsy’ and Musically Directing/ Assistant Directing ‘Rocketman’ (Musical Theatre Intervarsities). Ríona is currently a member of HXT Musical Society and will be taking to the Civic Theatre stage as Wednesday Addams in ‘The Addams Family Musical’, November 2025.
Theatre Credits include ‘Star-To-Be in ‘Annie’ (Festival Productions, National Concert Hall), Bet in ‘Oliver’ (R&R Musical Society, National Concert Hall), Gingy/Wicked Witch in ‘Shrek’ (SGPA, Helix Theatre), Sharpay in ‘High School Musical’ (Encore!, Helix Theatre) and Ermengarde in ‘Hello, Dolly!’ (Pioneers M.D.S, Draíocht) . Additionally, she was the Assistant Director for ‘Les Miserables’ at the Helix Theatre with SGPA.
Ríona was delighted to perform as a soloist as part of the AIMS Opening Number 2024 (INEC Killarney) and has previously had the pleasure of singing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra in the NCH. She has received a High Achiever Award from the Royal Irish Academy of Music and has been nominated for the Leinster School of Music and Drama Excellence Award. Ríona is represented by Maureen V Ward Talent Agency. Ríona is delighted to perform in her first panto as Belle in ‘Tickles, Beauty and the Beast’, alongside an extremely talented cast, production team and crew.
