Síofra Nolan is a vocalist, pianist and composer from Dublin, Ireland. She has recently graduated from DCU, with a BA in Jazz & Contemporary Music Performance, and has undergone classical vocal training under Maureen V Ward. She has gigged extensively with her band ‘Cooks But We’re Chefs’ around Ireland and the UK, in which she functions as the lead vocalist, co-composer and synth player.

The band have had their own sold out headline shows in Lost Lane and The Grand Social, have played many festivals around Ireland including Electric Picnic, Forbidden Fruit, All Together Now and many more, and recently performed at Latitude Festival in the UK. After the success of their debut EP ‘Sports Day’, the band are currently in the process of releasing recently recorded music.

Síofra has been a member of Dublin Gospel Choir since 2015, and has provided backing vocals for the likes of Dermot Kennedy, Duran Duran, Take That and many more. She is currently working on more jazz focused solo music, as well as continuing with her band.

She is currently a member of The X Collective and through this, has engaged with collaborative performances, songwriting camps and a soon-to-be released collaborative album with other artists in the collective, in which she played keys, co-composed and provided vocals for.

Her influences derive from an array of genres, including jazz, Irish traditional music, folk and soul, while also taking great influence from poetry and art.
