The Word Factory is a non-verbal show.
In a world where words cost money and you must eat words to speak, only the rich can talk. This is the story of a boy who saves up his words, fights monsters and challenges the dark factory. Developing children’s imagination through friendship and bravery. It combines the power of language with physical theatre and live music.
The Word Factory is a loose adaptation of “La grande fabrique de mots” written by Agnes de Lastrade and illustrated by Valeria Docampo© Alice Editions, Brussels. The idea for this project was chosen for the Branar Tiny Shows 2018 Residency. Since then the piece was devised with an innovative group of Galway-based creatives.
