Ideal World is a poignant comedy about online shopping, family secrets and second chances at happiness.
Lonely fifty-something Merce is coping with the recent death of her mother through her obsession with IDEAL WORLD, her beloved TV shopping channel, home of perfect presenters, irresistible deals and endless summer, much to the disapproval of her domineering sister, Alice.
At a Bereavement Survivors Support group, she meets awkward widower Ted and from then on, her life begins to change. As he joins her in a quest to unearth a long-kept secret, they both take a leap of faith to move beyond their timid lives.
On her journey through a world of odd-ball characters, Merce discovers a whole new life but realizes in the process that there’s no such thing as an Ideal World.
