Sightless Cinema returns to The Civic after the success of their Ballymuck Exchange – a telephone comedy in 2021. Close your eyes, if you dare! Blind Panic is a mixed programme of short thrillers, hauntings and strange scratching in the cupboard. The immersive surround sound audio plays are a feast for the imagination – because all the pictures are in your head.
Optional blindfolds are provided to help bring into the world of Sightless Cinema.
Ash is set in a country lodge guest house during a thunder storm which brings on strange happenings, and consequences for all the guests.
Horse and No Jockey is a madcap comic mystery, which sees a blind weekend away go off the rails, as more than the bags get mixed up.
In The Visitor, Laura returns from a horror film at the cinema, to make an unsettling discovery in the old house she’s just moved into.
The evening will also feature Blind or What? a live radio drama with live soundscapes performed by a Sightless Cinema Network cast of twenty-six from three counties, letting you experience the everyday adventures of blind people making their way through the urban landscape.
