SUMMARY:Rattle & Hum - The U2 Experience
DESCRIPTION:It’s no easy gig being a tribute band\, particularly when your inspiration is U2. Not only are they one of the highest profile bands on earth\, but their legendary musical ability\, passion and vitality are an integral part of the complete package. \nFor a tribute band\, this means you have to look right\, you must do justice to some of the finest rock music ever written and you have to capture and transmit that indefinable energy that fuels U2. Meet Rattle and Hum. \nComing from Dublin themselves has maybe given them an advantage over other U2 tribute bands\, but it doesn’t end there. They are also impeccable and experienced musicians who possess both the physical power and the psychic energy that playing the music of U2 to a live audience demands. \nThe four members\, despite individual visual theatrics\, become one powerful unit onstage\, much like U2 themselves. With songs performed from U2’s Debut album “Boy”\, right up to their last album “Songs of Experience” – Rattle and Hum have it all covered. \nPresented By: Arena Lynx\nDuration: 120 minutes. SUMMARY:H.O.Q.I.A. : Heck Of a Quality Inspection Assured
DESCRIPTION:When the H.O.Q.I.A. inspector arrives\, the nurses go into panic mode to make a good impression. But from the very beginning\, things go wrong\, and what unfolds is a hilarious series of mishaps\, mistakes\, and ridiculous encounters and situations. Audiences can expect some real laugh out loud fun. Bureaucracy competes with real care\, and staff feel hard done. A great evening of laughter and fun\, particularly for anyone used to workplace audits. But underlying all the fun\, there is some food for thought and reflection. An affirmation of hard working healthcare staff as well as a satire on current health audits this farce promises to entertain and cause pause for reflection in equal measure. \nPresented by: Gerry Farrell Productions\nDuration: 90 mins. SUMMARY:Barbara Scully - Because I'm Worth It
DESCRIPTION:Following on from the success of her one woman show – ‘Older Bolder Wiser’ – Barbara Scully has a new show for 2026 called ‘Because I’m Worth It’. \nBuilding on the themes of ‘Older Bolder Wiser’ and continuing to tell women to embrace getting older and to ignore the nonsense about ‘fighting ageing’\, Barbara will once again regale her audience with stories and comedy. \nAlthough the broad theme is ‘on brand’ Barbara says the focus is slightly different. \n“I would hesitate to call myself a diva\, but you know now that I am in my sixties there is stuff I no longer tolerate… because I am a woman who has stepped into my matriarchal power and I know my worth!! And it’s a lot. Just like all older women. Although we don’t often realise it. So\, I am here to tell all women that they are worth it too”. \nBarbara says that being older is delicious especially as you realise what makes you happy and you can indulge yourself a bit more than ever before. But it can make life unexpectedly complicated and Barbara will regale audiences about the times that this new found sense of her own worth and zero tolerance for stuff that irritates her has gone very wrong. “Ultimately I am an eejit but I make mistakes so that others don’t have to. Public service right there”. \nPresented By: Barbara Scully\nDuration: 90 mins. One interval.
