BOX OFFICE OPENING HOURS
The Box Office is open every day from Monday to Saturday from 10am to 6pm and for an hour prior to the start of an event at the Theatre, closing shortly after the event starts.
The Box Office is usually closed or operates different hours on Sundays and Bank Holidays.
TICKET OFFERS
The Civic is committed to making the Arts accessible to everyone. Occasionally, we are able to offer a limited number of free tickets to certain groups. All you need to do is contact the Box Office to request your free tickets.
Early Birds: Book early to get a discounted price on selected shows. Subject to availability.
Meal Deals: Make a night of it. By booking your meal + show together, you’ll save in comparison to ticket only prices. Enjoy a delicious 2 course meal at our Interval Bistro & Bar before the show. Valid on selected performances and subject to availability.
Concessions: Concessions are available to students, Equity members, under 18’s, the unemployed and senior citizens on certain shows. A discount of 10% is available for groups of ten or more to certain productions. (Please check with the Box Office at time of booking). Please contact boxoffice@civictheatre.ie for more information.

Whether you’re buying tickets or just collecting them, just drop by to the Box Office during our opening hours above and one of our Box Office team will be able to help you.

Call 01 4627477 to speak to one of our Box Office team. If we’re unavailable, just leave a voicemail and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible. All major cards are accepted.
Online
Head over to the What’s On page of our website to browse through all of the events currently on sale. You can easily click Buy Tickets on the event page to book online, safely and securely.
BOOKING FEE
The ticket price is inclusive of a €2 booking/admin fee.
EXCHANGES AND REFUNDS
Tickets are non-refundable unless an event is cancelled but seat exchanges for the same show either on the same night or a different can usually be made subject to availability. An administration charge of €2 per ticket may be payable.
We do not offer refunds except in extreme circumstances.
The Civic reserves the right to alter discounts and prices at any time and to refuse admission.

Please note that there is restricted viewing in the second balconies (Rows T and X). If you wish to purchase one of these, please be aware that there is a restricted view of the stage which may result in a restricted view of the performance. CANCELLATION POLICY
Should an event be cancelled, you will be offered a full refund.
CHILDREN POLICY
Under fire regulations, all persons must be issued with a ticket to attend a performance at The Civic. Please be aware, all children must have a seat and ticket (including those aged 2 years and under), even if they do not occupy a seat. The ticket is complimentary on certain shows and subject to availability. Please advise box office at time of booking.
LATECOMER’S POLICY
Latecomer admission is not guaranteed although offered where possible.
CONDITIONS OF SALE
Management reserves the right to refuse admission and to cancel or make any essential changes to performances. Smoking, photography and audio or visual recordings are strictly forbidden in the auditorium. Prices can be subject to change.
We have two performance spaces, the Main Auditorium and the Studio Theatre. We named the smaller studio space the Studio Theatre for the Civic’s terrific location at the last stop of the LUAS red line. The larger Main Auditorium can seat 309 people and the Studio Theatre can seat up to 60 people.

DRIVING DIRECTIONS
Travelling North by Car (from Bray)
Travel South on the M50 and exit at the Tallaght roundabout. Follow the signs for Tallaght. You are now travelling on the N81. Continue on this road for approximately 5km through the roundabout and at the fourth set of traffic lights turn right hand turn at the Plaza Hotel. Continue through the roundabout to the set of traffic lights, at these lights take a left hand turn, continue straight through another set of lights and The Civic car park is located at the end of the road on the right hand side (white gates).
Travelling South By Car (from Dublin Airport)
Travel South on the M50 and at junction 10, use the 2nd from the left lane to take the R838 exit to Cookstown. Continue on R838. Turn left onto Belgard Road, continue through the roundabout to the set of traffic lights, at these lights takea right hand turn, continue straight through another set of lights and The Civic car park is located at the end of the road on the right hand side (white gates).
PARKING
The carpark entrance is located on Old Blessington Road on the right hand side – it has white gates.
The Civic car park is open only for patrons after 4pm daily. There is no charge for these facilities. There are seven accessible parking spaces for disabled drivers/passengers available on site.
Alternative Car Parks
Should you need parking before 4pm, patrons can park in the Square Shopping Centre. Parking in the Square Shopping Centre is free for the first 2 hours and €2 per hour thereafter to a maximum of €20.00. There is free parking every Wednesday night from 6pm – 9pm. Alternatively, you can park in QPark, Exchange Hall on Belgard Square. Parking there is €1.80 per hour up to a maximum of €5 per day. Directions here.
BY BUS
Buses from city centre to Tallaght: 49, 49A, 54A, 65, 65B, 27, 77A. All these buses leave from Eden Quay in the City Centre near O’Connell Street.
- The 75 runs from Dun Laoghaire
- The 76 runs from Ballyfermot
- The 76A runs from Blanchardstown

BY TAXI
A taxi from the centre of Dublin to South Dublin County Council will cost approximately €15 – €35. This amount is not exact and is only given as an indication of the approximate cost for someone who is considering this option.
