A story about girls who grew up in Ireland in the early 2000s. After conversations with the women who raised them, Freshly Ground Theatre creates a light-hearted, nostalgic exploration of the nature of memory, and the changing definitions of girlhood, womanhood and motherhood.
In addition to these conversations, Freshly Ground will facilitate a series of workshops in Tallaght with the hope of fostering an interest in inter-generational theatre in the community.
These workshops will allow participants to engage with the themes of the show themselves: they will provide participants with an opportunity to explore and share their own childhood memories, and to engage in discussions about childhood and family relationships.
