Pilgrim

Pilgrim is a hilarious and moving tale of a young Irishman on a pilgrimage home through a world set ablaze. Christopher’s flight from California to Dublin is suddenly grounded in Newfoundland. It is announced that the Twin Towers have been attacked.

Thousands of refugees from every culture and creed descend upon the doorsteps of Newfoundland. Villages like Gambo become the setting for a positive apocalypse, and its here Christopher embarks on a wild, odyssey of redemption that is both arresting and comic.

With allusions to classical myth, Pilgrim, (Fishamble New Writing Award Nomination) is written by award-winning playwright Philip Doherty, and performed by Rex Ryan, (Dublin Fringe Best Actor nomination & Manchester Theatre Award
nomination for Best Actor).
