The Candlelit Tales team have arrived at The Civic to begin preparation for their world-building game Cruthú (create ‘as Gaeilge’).
These cardboard units will travel with the team to schools and have been incorporated into the game to give space for the kids to respond physically to the worlds as they imagine them. Space for all different brains to get playful.
Set by Anne Cradden and Orla Kelly
Cruthú will run from March – June in a series of digital and live interactions with 8 classes across 5 schools in the county.
Commissioned as part of Ready, Steady, SHOW! The Civic’s ongoing programme of work for children and young people.
Cruthú began as an R&D project at the Civic and thanks to Project Art Funding from Arts Council Ireland, is moving to the next stage of development, employing over 10 artists with ambitions to engage over 200 children. To read the full background the the Cruthú project CLICK HERE
