We are almost 30 shows in now so it’s time to get to know the cast a bit better.
Next up it’s Ciara Murphy who plays Jill.
Can you tell us a little bit about yourself and where you are from?
My name is Ciara Murphy and I am from Kingswood in Tallaght. I’m currently presenting a new children’s TV show on RTE junior called ‘Let’s Find Out’. I trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama. I am also a scientist and have an MSc in Biotechnology and a BSc in Biochemistry from University College Dublin.
Where did your interest in being an entertainer come from?
I think I first fell in love with performance when I joined the local church choir in St Killians. I still can’t stop singing!
What’s been your career highlight to date?
One of my most favorite performances would have to be when I sang in the Royal Festival Hall in London.
What can audiences expect from Jack and the Beanstalk?
A great story and an endless amount of laughs.
What character do you play?
I play Jill.
What’s next for you?
I’ll be doing some work for RTEjr in January for the young scientist weekend.
Tell us a random fact about yourself?
I love puppets! I also lived in Singapore for 7 months.
