The Civic Throws open its Doors to Irish National Opera 11 – 15 February.
Irish National Opera will open their critically acclaimed production of Gluck’s glorious masterpiece Orfeo ed Euridice at The Civic, Thursday 7th Feb and Friday 8th Feb. In advance of the opening performances of a national tour, Irish National Opera will be based in The Civic for a series of rehearsals, artist development workshops and outreach programmes.
IRISH NATIONAL OPERA STUDIO AT THE CIVIC
As a key element of the emerging partnership between INO and The Civic, six times Irish Times Best Opera Production nominee and Civic Artistic Director, Michael Barker-Caven will work with members of Irish National Opera’s emerging artist development programme to explore techniques for singers and directors to turn musical score into living and dynamic stage action.
