Artist Anna Newell with big plans for pleasing babies in the year ahead!
Venue Directors Michael Barker-Caven (The Civic, Tallaght), Niamh O’Donnell (Mermaid, Bray) and Emer McGowan (Draíocht, Blanchardstown) met with artist Anna Newell to plot and plan an exciting programme for the year ahead that will pioneer a range of shows for first year babies and early years youngsters as well as works for children with complex needs.
Following a significant grant award from the Arts Council under its Arts Grant Funding 2018/19 programme, the three venues in South & West Dublin and Wicklow, will work closely with Anna to bring three innovative shows to their theatres, local community spaces and hydro pools. Plans include a Christmas show in 2018 specially designed for parents looking to celebrate their babies first Christmas in a unique and inspiring way.
