A pre-recorded documentary capturing the stories, insights and experiences of 4 street dance leaders from around the globe – Produced by Dance2Connect.

Delivered in the form of interviews Top Table presents the viewer with an opportunity to discover the rich history of these dance styles, through personal stories from artists who have been a part of the street dance community for decades, as leaders, innovators, educators and legends to many young aspiring dancers worldwide.

Dance2Connect Festival invites film submissions from artists who locate their practice at the intersection between Contemporary and Street Dance. This unique form allows for dynamic interplay between narrative structure and experimental technique.

Experimental Battle | Tasks & concepts

This battle will challenge the participants ability to improvise and make creative decisions, using elements of story telling, props and conceptual thinking.

Preliminary round 1 | Post a 1 minute video to the track of your choice tagging #d2cexperiment (Concept to be revealed on the 1st of March)

Preliminary round 2 | After we choose the top 32 you will be asked to post another 1 min video with a different task so we can narrow it down to the top 16. (4th of March)

SUNDAY 7TH OF MARCH

With the top 16 selected we will host a Zoom Battle where contestants will have to dance on a live stream against their opponent.
