Half Light is an award-winning play for families and children aged 8+ combining theatre, comedy, live music and storytelling. We are delighted to announce Accessible performance of Half Light at The Civic next week.

Monday 12th March 7pm: Audio described and captioned

Audio Description for live performance is a live verbal commentary providing information on the visual elements of a production as it unfolds, from sets, props and costumes to actors’ facial expressions and movements across the stage.  There will also be a FREE Touch Tour available pre-show at 6pm (Booking essential on 01 4627477). Tickets €10 + 1 child goes free. Subsequent children €5 – discount applied at checkout. Captioning (OC) is similar to television subtitling and gives deaf and hard of hearing people access to live performances.

 

Tuesday 13th March 10am (Schools): Irish Sign Language interpreted performance SOLD OUT

Irish Sign Language (ISL) is the sign language used in the republic of Ireland. The language makes use of space and involves movement of hands, body, face and head. A sign language interpreter interprets what a person says or signs simultaneously, or immediately afterwards.

These accessible performances of Half Light at Civic Theatre are facilitated by Arts & Disability Ireland with funding from the Arts Council.
