I am a freelancing acrobat based in Dublin. Originally from Sweden, I left Scandanavia in 2013 on a sailing trip with the intention of going to Southern Europe for warmer weather, but ended up in Dublin which I have called home ever since!

Me and my partner run the acrobatic company Cikada Circus. We make and perform circus – street theatre shows so obviously with the Covid – 19 crisis all our performances and our entire income until further notice has been cancelled.

I am also co-organizer of Irish Acro, an acrobatic convention taking place in the countryside outside Dublin. This was going to have been its 5th year running and had a great line up of national and international teachers and performers, with attendees coming from all over Ireland and Europe, but sadly we had to cancel last week.

I am very happy to have received the help from the Civic Theatre’s Artist Emergency Relief Grant. It is a well timed help towards paying the rent and food when the next performance is unsure. Until then we are staying indoors, keeping the training up and working on new material for new projects.
